Since 1988 we have been importing quality used vehicles from Japan to New Zealand and over 35 countries worldwide.

While we don't sell vehicles to the public as such, we do supply many dealers nationwide who do. Click the link at the bottom of the page to see a list of Nichibo approved dealers throughout the country.

At Nichibo we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the automotive industry. Our 15 buying staff attend over 40 auction halls in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama and other centres throughout Japan every week allowing us to source all the best good quality used vehicles. We also personally inspect each vehicle to ensure our high level of quality is maintained.

Quality Assurance
As a quality importer we make sure every measure has been taken to ensure that all vehicles we import are of the highest possible condition before they leave Japan. This includes enlisting the New Zealand Automobile Association's Japanese partner 'JEVIC' to independently certify every vehicle's odometer reading.


Specialised Transportation
All our vehicles are carried to New Zealand on Pure Car Carriers (PCC). These vessels have been designed specifically to transport vehicles all over the world. On board Nichibo vehicles travel alongside new cars in the same clean dry conditions and are handled with exactly the same care.


The Advantages of Buying through a Nichibo dealer
When purchasing your next vehicle not only is it important to consider what you buy, but also who you buy it from. While it may be tempting to consider something from The Car Fair or solo registered trader, remember that you have no guarantee that the vehicle you are considering has not just been patched up with low quality paint and panel methods or temporary mechanical repairs.
A large dealer with a highly visible yard in a fixed location cannot afford to trade in low quality vehicles however and will always be there for you should there ever be a problem.
Working with Nichibo, a large dealer also has greater buying power so you can get premium products at better prices. Plus, we can also supply you with a larger range of cars to suit your individual needs.
